FesOhCurt fest in Spain hails ‘Spring in Autumn’

Iranian short film ‘Spring in Autumn’ has succeeded to receive the Best Foreign Film Award at the 4th FesOhCurt Film Festival in Spain.

Ghasideh Golmakani’s feature film narrates the story of a woman who is leaving her husband after many years.

Filmed in Russia and Iran, the short film has participated in more than 30 international festivals.

The main actors of ‘Spring in Autumn’ are Sima Bourgin and Reza Kianian. Other members of the film’s cast are Saba Mohammadi and Sarina Moghadam.

The film is the recipient of the best film award at the 5th Ahora es Corto Film Festival in Spain and the Hexagon Film Festival in Tuscany in central Italy.

The FesOhCurt Film Festival is “a reference within the short movie festivals, as it contributes to fostering the use of Valencian through cinema,” according to the official website of the festival.  

The 2021 festival was held from November 22 to 27 in the Castile region of Spain.
